Make a list

Of essential people that need to be contacted about your change of address, electricity, phone and gas companies, RTA for a change of address ( this can be done online) , banks or building societys, Centrelink and Australia Post for getting your mail forwarded onto your new address.



Have plenty of supplies

Pack an essentials box and take it in the car with you, include items like your kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, sugar and definatley TOILET PAPER, the amount of people that get stuck when least expected especially in rental properties where people dont like to leave anything behind, this is also a good place to put all your remote controls and phone chargers to have on hand within easy reach.



Utilise wardrobe boxes

Start Early

As soon as you can start packing the better it is for you, it gives you a chance to downsize if need be, organise garage sales and pack at your leisure.  Obtain packing boxes and material to save the last minute run around.
